Hello!
I'm Hope Burleigh, principal photographer and show runner of Lauder Photography! Originally from Oklahoma, I have had careers as an actress, wife, mother, and finally children’s photographer. Nothing is more artistically gratifying to me than getting that photo of your child that delights us both. I have a lot of patience and know how to “grab it” in that one split second when the child looks at me with her/his little personality showing! Smile, or no smile, I just want that true expression of who they are in that moment in time. I believe that a "school picture" can be a treasure for parents and grandparents instead of an image of someone they don't even recognize. In my years of experience, it just doesn't take that much longer to make a connection with the child being photographed in order to get the best image possible. You just have to care, and we do.
I have a fantastic team of experienced photographers who love working with kids. We all take great pride in our work. We work with each school individually to ensure a smooth and organized picture day. We work closely with the faculty and staff to try to make it as easy and convenient as possible. We are completely trustworthy regarding parents' personal info, and we never solicit them for anything.
I feel so fortunate to have been doing this for a long time, and still love what I do. I have the best job in the world!
PS We have found through the years that the more Photo Day is just another fun school activity, the better. And practicing smiling in the mirror has never really been helpful! :)
